Client
The City of Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC)
Challenge
OEMC wanted to redesign their site to improve its public service delivery.
Role
- Managed engagement
- Lead Creative Direction for the engagement
- Redesigned the new visual user interface
- Redeveloped the code using page templates which were created by using HTML, CSS, DHTML, and SSI
- Led strategic brainstorming sessions to help define and redesign the site’s information architecture
- Revised data maintenance process
- Performed usability testing
Results
The new site enabled visitors, primarily composed of public safety personnel and the general public, to quickly and efficiently locate important emergency information.
