Challenge

OEMC wanted to redesign their site to improve its public service delivery.

Role

• Managed engagement
• Lead Creative Direction for the engagement
• Redesigned the new visual user interface
• Redeveloped the code using page templates which were created by using HTML, CSS, DHTML, and SSI
• Led strategic brainstorming sessions to help define and redesign the site’s information architecture
• Revised data maintenance process
• Performed usability testing

Results

The new site enabled visitors, primarily composed of public safety personnel and the general public, to quickly and efficiently locate important emergency information.

The City of Chicago forced all City departments to integrate their sites within the City portal, as such, this design is not currently live.
